We began planning CHM25 in March and today saw us host our final planning meeting ✅ Time to kick off my birthday with a ceremonial iPad switch-off & glass of wine. I’m in Cardiff from Friday joining St John Ambulance Cymru for preparations. Sunday will see over 150 volunteers deployed!!🏴🚑🩺
This evening I’ve visited St John Ambulance Cymru NHQ where our logistics team have been hard at work ensuring all equipment is ready for this year’s Cardiff Half 🏴. This will ensure our medical teams across the course have the resources required to look after runners and spectators. #JustInCase
Lots of planning, little sleep but always amazing friendships! Cardiff Half Marathon remains the best date in my calendar. Thanks to the many St John Ambulance Cymru people who came out - representations from across Wales!
That’s a wrap for St John Ambulance Cymru at this year’s Cardiff Half 🏴. A pleasure to lead today’s team and play my small part. Thanks to all 150-plus #StJohnPeople in whatever role you played to support this event. I must also thank Richie and Sarah who supported me in Event Control today.
A huge thank you to all the members of #TeamSJAC who played a part in this year’s Cardiff Half 🏴, from planning and logistics to first aiders and runners. Diolch o galon!
Come and join us St John Ambulance Cymru planning the medical cover for events across Wales from international sporting events & world tour concerts to culturally significant events like Eisteddfod & hundreds of community events across the nation. Darren Murray
Good to be St Asaph Cathedral for the St John Ambulance Cymru St John Priory for Wales Visitation to North Wales. Today The Prior will invest or promote a number of #StJohnPeople into The Priory for Wales of the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem, along with a number of other awards.
Celebrating 15 years volunteering today with St John Ambulance England and St John Ambulance Cymru with my first bar to the long service medal. A great day at St Asaph recognising our fantastic volunteers 👍
Supporting St John Ambulance Cymru Induction day this morning for Cardiff and Vale County. A number of people starting their journey with the organisation, helping Wales become a community of lifesavers.
Really good to join #StJohnPeople for the final St John Ambulance Cymru Strategy Forum for 2025, hearing updates about the new app and from the work stream leads of the four key strategic areas. So much has happened already, but still lots to come. It is a real pleasure to be on this journey.
