A great day ahead at the #ilovecompauting23 conference today. Reflecting on the curriculum we offer our ITE students Teach St Mary's and looking to supplement and develop.

Some great ideas shared at the #ilovecomputing23 conference! However, this shared by Jane Waite from Raspberry Pi Foundation is something of real relevance! Linking to the learning our PGCE students have been doing in sessions with Jenny Murray

One of our lecturers, Sam Lovatt is a #MicrobitChampion for this year! We will be showcasing the micro:bit in our lectures as well as reacting out to our partnership schools.

Some of of first year BA Teach St Mary's students getting excited about creating their stop motion animations! In this module we are exploring how to use a range of devices to create a range of digital artefacts.

Free computing resources for primary schools! Teach St Mary's

Looking forward to getting into this! What insights can we add to our teaching? Get your FREE download Hello World Magazine helloworld.raspberrypi.org

Thank you so much for having me! In the episode, I take the time to discuss creativity across the curriculum but also it’s place within #computing. Also, how Computational Thinking and Mitchel Resnick work can provide a framework for creative thinking. #creativity #pricomp #Computing

Sam Lovatt and I getting ready to lecture our first ever #dandt & #computing elective module Teach St Mary's Months of planning to ensure the students can communicate ideas through CAD and apply their understanding of computing to programme products. Let’s go!

It was great to introduce our Teach St Mary's Y3 BA elective students to crumbles controllers from Redfern Electronics today. I’m this module Janine Bell (née Pavlis) and I will be bringing together D&T and computing! #physicalcomputing #design #control

Teach St Mary's for all those interested in AI in education. And best of all, it’s free!

How good are these? Today in our Y2 computing elective, we progressed our exploration of Scratch Team. With the use of the fantastic Makey Makey boards, we created musical instruments. I love the drum sticks. Janine Bell (née Pavlis) & Susannah Robert you’ll be proud! Teach St Mary's

So looking forward to welcoming the 2024/25 Teach St Mary's Primary QTS PGCE trainees onto campus today and the Post Graduate Teaching Apprenticeship trainees 🌟 A year of ambitions being met! Teaching Susannah Robert SIMMS PrimaryScience SIMMS Primary Computing SIMMS Primary Geography and History
