As one chapter closes, another opens. My first group was so special and I’m thankful for all the memories. It’s been real, 4th grade! 3rd grade, here I come! ✏️🍎👩🏼‍🏫

Kicking off this year with the best coworkers ever! From our field trip to Main Event to convocation at Chicken and Pickle, CES has been treated well! Excited to take on 3rd grade with this lovely new team of mine and all my teacher besties! 💖

I survived the first week of 3rd grade! We are getting back into the swing of things and ready to dive into more learning next week. I have such a lovely class this year! 💖3️⃣🍎

Accidentally matching really just means that great minds think alike! 🏈

Students learned the difference between first hand and second hand accounts today. They practiced writing a second hand account by interviewing a partner, then sharing their story in third person point of view!

We got to review our past few weeks of learning with playing a jeopardy game! It was a great way to go over many of the skills we are learning

STEM bin Thursdays are a favorite! They give students the chance to be creative, work and problem solve with others, and have fun while they do it!

We had our first raffle for a Jenga lunch with the teacher! (Don’t ask who won)

Students worked on posters that represent our founding fathers! Alexander Hamilton was a popular choice!

A pep rally on the football with CMS cheerleaders, dancers, and band!

I love getting to see kids in my class do the things they love outside of school! Flag football season is in full swing! 🏈

Readers theater is always a fun way to practice our oral reading fluency!

Students are busy planning for our new persuasive writing unit! They have been tasked with choosing an adult and writing to convince readers why they are so great!

We practiced identifying the main idea of a text by using task cards and games! They did a great job!

3 Grade and Pre-K are having an absolute BLAST writing letters to each other. This morning, my homeroom class met and read their letters to their pen pal! I’m so proud of how good they were with the youngest students at CES!

I love seeing great group work! We worked on retelling our story, “The Flag Makers” today. We also got to learn more about The War of 1812 while we read!
