Among the findings of the Sexual Harassment Education Matters study? Students who experience sexual harassment in high school report mental health implications affecting their ability to focus and learn in the classroom.

This is absolutely heartbreaking. This young woman had the courage to speak out against her harasser and she was killed for it. This is why this work is so important. We need to recognize that this happens in America too and we need to work together to address it.

Sexual harassment can include (but is not limited to) pressure to perform sexual acts, touching against your will, interference with birth control, verbal abuse, sending unwanted texts or messages via social media, physical or verbal threats, and spreading of sexual rumors.
