The first train in the country had run between Roorkee and Piran Kaliyar on December 22, 1851 and not two years later as widely known. Actually first one was goods train and 2nd one was passenger train... ran on 16 April, 1853 between Mumbai and Thane.....! #HistoryOfIndia
