Our Safe Space enrichment group students visited Queer Britain, the UK's first and only queer museum this week. Their evolving exhibition, We Are Queer Britain, marks the 50th anniversary of the UK’s first Pride March.

After months of preparation, including a visit to the Ugandan Embassy, our Model United Nations society represented Uganda at the NHSMUN conference in New York. They took part in committee sessions and debate with students from all over the world after exploring NYC!!

Year 12 History students attended a workshop at The National Archives examining declassified government archives from during the presidencies of Eisenhower, Kennedy and Johnson. They also got to view an original copy of the Declaration of Independence worth millions of pounds!

Talk The Talk, with the Jack Petchey Fdn delivered a Talk About The Future workshop to Yr 12 students last week. Students took part in activities developing their oracy skills and communication confidence to support positive life interactions and improved social outcomes.

A level economics students welcomed Dr Ben Tippet from Uni of Greenwich recently. Ben’s research focuses on wealth inequality, secular stagnation & political economy. Ben explained what studying economics at university is really like, so our students had lots of questions to ask!

As part of our International Women's' Day programme, we were honoured to welcome Helen Pitcher OBE to speak to students. Helen talked about challenges she overcame in a male-dominated business world. She encouraged students to aim high and not tolerate any discrimination #IWD24

The lovely team from ACLT Charity are busy talking to students today about how they can register as lifesavers. Students are queuing up to register as blood and organ donors and taking cheek swabs so they can become Anthony Nolan stem cell donors.

As a child. Alex was a regular patient at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children. He recently returned, accompanied by fellow students Iris, Tony and Yvan and College Chaplain Tony to donate 8 bags of toys, books, baby bottles, pencils, pyjamas, money and vouchers! Well done Alex and everyone else!

Spanish A level students visited the @cervantestheatre to see the critically-acclaimed production of La Casa de Bernarda Alba. The actress playing Bernarda kindly spent time with students after the performance to talk about her role. Spanish teacher Mr Sanchez joined in too!
