Why I voted against the budget reconciliation bill that will slash support for Medicaid and local hospitals while raising our national debt by trillions:

Republicans just passed the biggest Medicaid cut in history in order to give tax breaks to to billionaires. This big abomination of a bill is a disaster for Californians and will kill the American Dream for hardworking people.

17 million people just lost health care. 18 million kids just lost school meals. 3 million Americans just lost food assistance. And $3.5 trillion was added to the deficit. All for a tax cut for Trump’s billionaire donors. The ultimate betrayal.
