It’s been two years since Taliban banned women and girls from universities and Afghan women from working in NGOs. Afghan women and girls are the lynchpin to a more stable, peaceful, and prosperous Afghanistan. We call on the Taliban to immediately reverse these edicts.

As we mark two years since the Taliban banned women and girls from attending universities and women from working for NGOs, the world is being tested. If we fail Afghan women and girls, we put in peril women and girls' rights everywhere, far beyond Afghanistan. My open letter:
