#RecordOfTheWeek today is the wonderful Wasp Spider (Argiope bruennichi), spotted in Tynant, Beddau by Carys Romney. Great to see an egg sac being created too, showing the site is good for breeding as well. Many thanks for the records & photos, submitted via the #LERCWalesApp

Apologies to arachnaphobes, but it's been a spidery week! #RecordOfTheWeek today is Anyphaena numida, found in Penarth by Tegwyn Davies. This is the first Welsh record for the spider, which arrived in the UK in 2017. Thanks for the record & pics, submitted via the LERC Wales App.

#RecordOfTheWeek today is a Common Groundhopper (Tetrix undulata), spotted in Cwmbach by Mark Evans. These tiny insects are close relatives to Grasshoppers, but are easily overlooked due to their size. Many thanks for the record & photo, submitted via sewbrecord.org.uk

Found my first Misumena vatia male, Flower crab spider. A very dapper looking spider. Came across a few males and females in the same spot. BAS SEWBReC
