The Down's Syndrome Association is strongly opposed to the current proposal to stop health payments (currently the LCWRA element) to young adults on Universal Credit until they turn 22. This will likely have a significant negative impact on many young people who have Down's

The Government’s planned investments are not for the kind of support the 78,000 children who have Educational, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) for speech and language challenges need. Any changes to EHCPs MUST improve support for these children, not take away parents' rights.

But they are looking at removing EHCPs for children.

The petition has reached over 75,000 - three quarters of the way there. We urgently need to get this up to 100,000 to get a debate in parliament. Please help us to save disabled children’s rights. #Disability #SEND
