Humanitarians work selflessly in often the most difficult of circumstances, bringing relief to people in desperate need. Remembering their sacrifice today, including those working in Gaza #WorldHumanitarianDay

The rise in deaths of humanitarian workers is not acceptable. We can and must do more to protect the safe delivery of humanitarian aid to those most in need.

I met with the families of those still cruelly being held hostage in Gaza. I heard about the terrible ordeal they continue to go through, worsening each day. We are clear in our call - Hamas must release all hostages immediately.

Appalled at this and reports of aid workers being forced to evacuate in Gaza. Israel’s increase in evacuation orders risks undermining vital efforts to provide humanitarian aid. They must protect civilians and allow aid workers to do their jobs.
