With UN Environment Programme in Africa, we installed sensors around Dandora dumpsite, monitoring pollution levels from Oct-Apr 2023. 12 out of 166 days met World Health Organization (WHO) air quality standards. Our efforts, including bamboo tree planting by local students are featured by The Associated Press & others.

Day 2 π±
On day 2, we planted more trees with support from NEMA Kenya WaterResourcesAuthorityKenya LAPSSET the chief of Gambella, the Assistant County Commissioner, and the community. Together, we reached our goal of 4,000 trees!
