San Diegans and other visitors flocked to our City beaches to escape the heat this past weekend. San Diego Lifeguards reported close to 300,000 people enjoyed the cool coastline. Lifeguards recorded 110 rescues and close to 3,800 preventative actions. THANK YOU lifeguards!

Crews made quick work of this brush fire in Balboa Park. Fire was contained to about an acre thanks to fast response & only slight breeze. No cause has been determined. Florida Dr between Zoo Place and Morley Field Dr will be closed until 3:30 p.m. as crews mop up & clear brush.
