Thank you to the Southfield Police Department! Officers Simon and Buckberry visited today to discuss technology safety. Talking about cell phones led to a reminder not to text while driving and finally a time for questions. We are so grateful they came.

Students from our NHS came to school on Saturday morning and did a deep cleaning on all five SCS buses. They did a thorough job with great attitudes, and the buses look and smell clean! Our bus coordinator, Mrs. Ward is so thankful for this group of students who did this job.

Many of the reading extension classes Flat Stanleys have returned! Classes created their own Flat Stanley and wrote letters to loved ones asking them to see what adventures Flat Stanley would find. Stanleys from Idaho, Flordia, Canada, and beyond came back with tales to share!

Working with a friend makes learning fun!

MS Stem class created DNA replicas. They used the characteristics of a person and assembled a DNA strand using a common key. Groups exchanged strands to see if they could determine who the strand represented.

Senior, Mionna Johnson shared her testimony during chapel. Her story is incredible and her faith is inspiring.

MS & HS Vocal music classes had a great spring concert last week. Their hard work and talent were evident in every note!

He was recently recognized for his writing. Luke earned a Silver Key from the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. He also placed 2nd in the Optimist International Club Essay Contest.
