#ZTF looking lively! SCSW has followed this specialist foam maker since it was a BP spin-off. At Croydon & Kentucky, they freeze-expand plastic blocks, inject materials, and create applications for shoes, data centre packaging, aerospace gaskets & more. scsw.co.uk/search/?query=…

Big moment at #PMQs. Keir Starmer refused to say he would stand by Labour’s manifesto promise not to raise income tax, national insurance, VAT or corporation tax. It is increasingly clear the budget will include a significant rise in income tax - because it is the only clean

#SPEC 🔥 let the bunfight between three bidders begin. Nice to see it resume its upwards move. Still well short off 90-110p suggested by First Seagull.

#TTG recommends Cicor's cash/paper bid of 155p (100p cash) after rubbishing #VLX all cash bid of >139.6p last year. Jefferies equates 155p as 12x forward PER before synergies available to a trade buyer. Will VLX come back?

#WOSG After last week's pilgrimage of Rolex and other watchmakers to see Trump, rumours of Swiss tariffs set to fall to 15% from 39% is sending WOSG back up. Had started out at 550p before the initial tariff spike vs 435p now.

#VLX up 45p, just off the call. Categoric no bid for #TTG. No derailment from tariffs and hyperscale cabling is a massive swing factor, followed by EVs and Off Highways harnesses. Nat Rothschild now taking the helm. Will update in the next issue. scsw.co.uk/issues/decembe…

“We don't need to increase taxes further... it’s now on us", Rachel Reeves said last year, after hiking taxes by £40bn. If she breaks that promise today, the Government will have lost what little credibility it had left. Nobody should ever trust them again.

UK income tax thresholds will be frozen until 2030-2031, the OBR says. The national insurance contributions threshold has been frozen to the same financial year too. Is it their place to say it ahead of the budget ?!

According to the most recent bulletin from ONS, 52.6% UK households receive more in benefits (cash + benefits-in-kind) than they pay in taxes (direct and indirect). After yesterday’s budget that is going to 60%. 😔 #nationofscroungers
