Great news from @UConnCCD: 90% of 2021 graduating class reported favorable job outcomes at 6-month post-graduation; a 6-percentage point increase from 84% when @UConnCCD started tracking these outcomes in 2016. Which is even more impressive when considering the impact of COVID.

The Stamford Finance and Risk Management team from UConn Business just won the Global Bloomberg Trading Challenge, beating out 495 other teams globally!

It is an honor to join Stony Brook as provost. As a first generation college student, I am eager to partner with Andrea Goldsmith and the many talented #SBU faculty, staff, students and existing leadership in the provost's office driving inclusive excellence at this dynamic institution.

Before I head to Stony Brook University, I want to thank the UConn community of faculty, staff, and students for the opportunity to serve as provost. It has been a privilege to be a partner in advancing the academic mission. There are so many I will miss deeply.

Literally impossible to think of someone who more deeply embodies cutting edge research, rigorous pedagogy, deep care for undergraduate and graduate students, collegiality with faculty and staff, and service to the University and the State.

As I have now officially transitioned to my new role as provost at Stony Brook I wanted to take one last opportunity to thank the amazing faculty and staff at UConn who were such thoughtful partners with their "pandemic provost." I will always be grateful.

First day as provost at Stony Brook University. Thrilled to be here. I will say, if one wants to ease into a new job, I highly recommend starting the Friday before July 4th. Two meetings all day and one just canceled - Though I suspect the bill for this easy day will come due Tuesday!

Great time Saturday at renaming of Southampton Arts to the Lichtenstein Center (newsday.com/long-island/ed…) - including a tour of amazing on-campus movie set, completion of another talented class of bookends (stonybrook.edu/commcms/southa…) and a reading by legendary poet Billy Collins.
