Brookings convened a China Study Tour from April 1-8, which included high-level engagements in Beijing, Shanghai, and Hangzhou, and a Track II dialogue in Sanya. It coincided with President Trump’s announcement of global tariffs and escalatory responses by Beijing and Washington.
