#dyslexia #science. The lecturer said to me, "I did not know insects had morals". He pointed to the word "morality" in my report, but I was still confused. He said, "I think you meant insect mortality".

Any advice on how to mark individual #caterpillars for an experiment? I have previously marked aphids, but I can't remember my method. #entomology needs to be non-toxic and not release too many volatiles

Really pleased to see our review on best practices for insect olfactometer experiments published today! This has been three years in the making and wouldn't have been completed without major contributions from Tom Pope , Ed (diffuse prior) Harris and Dr Ben Clunie. onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/ee…

Gooseneck barnacles a highlight of this mornings Harper Adams University #wildlife and #zoology field course. Porth Dafarch, #Anglesey. Had to make do with other invertebrates in place of limited insect activity!

I'm at the international Congress of biological control in Costa Rica. The first talk is about one health and using competitive snails to control intermediate hosts of schistosomiasis🐌

Thank you for inviting me to present about my PhD at the #ICBC in Costa Rica, lots of interesting questions. But I'm glad it's over now I can finally relax and hopefully see the butterflies 🦋
