Why must we have severe thunderstorms during my drive home? Now I'm sitting in a DG parking lot lobbing tweets like that white dude from French Lick, Indiana lobbing 3-balls.

Lot going on here. Outflow boundary sinking southward providing enough atmospheric disruption to sustain a chance at severe windage, greatest of which sjould be encroaching upon the Smyrna/Lavergne metroplex.

Wouldnt be surprised if theres some pockets of 35-40mph winds pushing into the 840 corridor....oh, almost forgot... ....NO TORNADO THREAT. Had to get that outta tha way so we could entertain ourselves.
