A Tak with a bad volume control. Wiggling back and forth made the #guitar switch on and off. Not ideal. I’ve replaced it successfully. Proud to say my shop is one of the only spots in #Ireland that deals with #acoustic #preamp repairs 💪

A Tube Arc⚡️Essentially a #shortcircuit that happens inside #tubes / #valves when either the #voltage becomes too high, or the #amplifier has been damaged. This rig was driven at 100% volume/gain constantly for several hours. Here we see the result. Be careful out there 😄 #sligo

Fitting a ceramic #guitar bridge using a machined blank. We want a nice low action here with good tone transfer. This #acousticguitar came in with very high strings. Much better now. On it’s way home soon. Thanks for following along 🎸

This is what proud wiring looks like. A #1968 #Fender #Princeton Reverb. From an era when they had the time and money to care this much. Just look at that #circuitry . This is art. Came in with no power. A simple fix done and ready to rock again. What a treasure! 💎 #amplifiers

Orange Crush 20 Watt that came in with No Power fault. Circuitry has been repaired and we are back up! This amp is so loud for 20 Watts it’s unbelievable. Already gone home today 👍

A 1979 #Vox #AC30 from the #RoseMorris era in for strange noise on the output. This 45 year old legend has some of the most beautiful #amplifier construction I’ve seen here. Found a dead #vacuumtube and some other suspect parts. Thanks to The Hooks for leaving it in 📻

Back in Service: A lovely #Tanglewood #acoustic with a failed input module. Some #metal parts bent and shattered when the #cable was plugged in. The #guitar was then muted. All sorted now and headed back out on the road 🚚 🔊

Looks like the Rickenbacker Guitars team left their mark on the inside of this lovely relic. Anybody recognise these names? What a great tradition. I love opening up old #guitars 🕰️
