According to the 7th Integrated Household Living Conditions Survey launched today by National Institute of Statistics of Rwanda, over 1.5 million people have been lifted out of poverty since 2017. The overall poverty rate has declined from 39.8% to 27.4%, and extreme poverty has fallen from 11.3% to 5.4%.

#EICV7 also indicate improved social economic indicators such as significant increase of household access to electricity increased from 34.4% to 72%; rise in mobile phone to 84.6% from 66.9% and internet access rose to 30% from 17%.
