I spoke to New York ISO staff at the organization’s annual meeting. My remarks focused on how National Grid NY is putting customers and communities at the center of our plans for NY’s clean energy future with strategic investments to build a stronger, smarter, cleaner grid.

It’s #NationalSTEMDay! Expanding access to #STEM education and careers is vital to growing the workforce we need to achieve New York’s clean energy transition. @nationalgridny works with partners across the state to expand access to STEM education and training programs.

The National Grid NY team is hard at work every day upgrading our network to support more renewable energy generation and transmission. Projects like this one are critical to our plans to deliver a stronger, smarter, cleaner energy system that meets New York’s clean energy goals.

Yesterday’s announcement that NY has installed 2GW of community solar is an important milestone in our path to a stronger, smarter, cleaner energy future. As the largest connector of community solar in the state @nationalgridny is proud to bring this clean energy to New Yorkers.

Reliability is key to a successful clean energy transition. That’s why National Grid NY is rolling out Fault Location, Isolation, and Service Restoration (#FLISR) to minimize outages and restore power sooner. Since 2022, FLISR has saved 7,404 Customer Outage Hours.
