If you can’t make it to Hitachi seaside Park to see nemophila Toneri park in adachi is a perfect destination. The massive grounds, the lake and the seasonal flowers make it a perfect place to spend a day just walking, or picnicking.

These cute kindergarten kids just make my day! I wonder of the colour of cap is according to age group or just the level of naughtiness 😀

KameidoTenjin is just magnificent right now! Wisteria is my favourite flower but I didn’t know the fragrance can be so delightful!The greenery, the red bridges, the pale purple flowers n the soft fragrance, It was all rather mesmerizing. And coz I went on a weekday-very peaceful

There is Wisteria and then there is wisteria at Ashikaga. Mesmerizing and stunning in all its glory. It is quite a trip from Toyo but absolutely worth it. Don’t forget to have the Fuji soft cream and please don’t come back without seeing the evening light up. Simply divine!

I love seeing the carp fish flying all over Japan around Children’s day(5th May). And Tokyo Midtown always has the best Koi Nobori!

In neon lit ikebukuro,my interest lies only in Junkudo Bookshop.Huge variety but sadly, just a few racks of English books. But I fell in love with the pretty book covers. Sadly most Eng books are bigger than the palm size Japanese books but that didn’t stop me from buying a few!

It’s roses now! Roses are everywhere in Tokyo. The best place to see them would be Kyu Furukawa Garden but your neighborhood park is sometimes better because you can enjoy the flowers in peace without lining up and snaking through crowds!

What I love about Japan are the sweets and stamps/postcards that come out for a limited time to celebrate a season or even a flower. I got these sweets and postcard at Kameido Tenjin Shrine and icecream at Ashikaga Park!

The evening sky today has been rather splendid. And inevitably all my sunset pictures will have the Nitori signboard in them!

For all the walkers out there, the Shin koiwa path along the stream and the Komatsugawa sakaigawa river side park is another fabulous walk. The silence.gentle sound of the stream, n the bright green of the young leaves … Go and enjoy the peace! #OffbeatTokyo#TallGirlinJapan

Two travelogues on my bed side table right now. Both about walking japan from Hokkaido to Kyushu but both have such different, distinctive styles of writing!

What an absolutely marvelous thunderstorm we’ve just had! Lightening for over an hour and extremely heavy rain. It was as if a cloud had burst over Tokyo. After an hour of fantastic light and sound show by Nature, we are back to the humidity!

That time of the year when you enter shops and pretend to look at stuff you don’t need, just to escape the heat and stay in air conditioning for a while.
