We condemn the Iranian missile attacks on USA & The Global Coalition forces based in Iraq and focused on defeating #ISIS. #Kosovo is a formal member of the @Coalition and we call #Iran to de-escalate the violence. We remain in support to US and our Atlantic family in this time of upheaval.

Today we remember the 1999 Reçak Massacre. 45 unarmed civilians were cowardly massacred by Serbian Government forces. 21 years after, Serbian officials continue to deny this dreadful crime instead of bowing their heads and asking for forgiveness. We will never forget Reçak!

Today marks the 11th anniversary of the establishment of #Kosovo Security Force (KSF). First 1.5 k members of #KSF were vetted by NATO and NATO Kosovo Force - KFOR was charged with mentoring the KSF and bringing the force to Full Operational Capability. Our joint success story continues 💪

I was deeply saddened to learn abouth the fatal earthquake in Turkey yesterday. #Kosovo Security Forces stand ready to support Turkish authorities in their search and rescue efforts. May God bless the souls of the deceased and give strength to their families and friends.

On my last day of tenure as Minister of Defense, #KSF LTC Remzije Zeqiraj, my comrade from #KLA, #KPC, #KSF and colleague in #Kosovo #MoD, visited me for a farewall coffee. I am proud of Remzije and all women and men in uniform and am confident #KSF will remain on the right path.

Today I handed over the duty to the new Minister of Defense, Mr. Anton Quni. Anton is a great man and professional. I am certain under his leadership #Kosovo #MoD and #KSF shall continue to deliver their mission in cooperation with our partners and NATO. Godspeed, Anton!
