Chance! Luke gets the ball on the edge of the box and let’s fly. Now there are shots off target, and there are shots *off target*. St. Brelade FC think that’s heading your way lads. We’ll pop round to pick it up later.

And just like that Luke silences the previous tweet. Picking the ball up out wide he skips past three defenders, lifts a delightful ball into the box - it drops to Slice six yards out...who completely misses the ball. Shocking. Almost shameful. Re-open the Gulag.

GOAL! 1-0 Rozel! It seems everyone is out to silence the Twitter as Slice pops up at the back post to put the Gulls in the lead. He gives a thumbs up to Weird Al, before getting on his knees and praying to the sky. His first goal for the club. 35 mins played.

Goal, 1-1. Just like that Wanderers are back in the game. Rozel get caught napping as Slice - who’s still only halfway through his celebration - gets mugged off down the wing, the ball is whipped into the box and finished by the striker. 5 mins left to play.

Slight stoppage here as the game is interrupted by a swarm of wasps. Yes, a swarm of wasps. Whitt appears un-phased, finally at home with something that’s as annoying as he is. 20 or so left to play.

CHANCE! A terrific delivery into the box lands at Brad’s feet, who manages to completely miss-time it and scuff the shot wide. It’s his last game for Rozel too, as he’s back off to London in a few weeks. Good riddance.

GOAL! 2-1 Rozel! Bradley Russel puts the Gulls in front with a well-taken header at the back post. It’s a great header, but the delivery from Luke was something else. Reminds me of a similar assist he delivered in his first season at the club, during the 1952-53 season.

As we enter the last few minutes here, Weird appears adamant to go out in style. Rather than controlling the Wanderer’s cross he decides to volley it, missing the ball completely, then slices the follow up clearance, nearly gifting a goal away. Traditions never die.

Imagine a football competition where the organisers don’t encourage actually playing football. Shame after an amazing performance in the last round that we will have to scratch against St Clements as the Jersey Football Association 🇯🇪 refuse to move the fixture to a weekday! #footballsnotthewinner

Thanks for answering my question regarding a pop up fanzone Dep. Lyndon Farnham. I think it would be great and something which could get Islanders together in an outdoor, safe environment should England go the distance or even if they don’t! ⚽️ Imagine this at Howard Davis Park! ⬇️

We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of James Keating. Keats was one of the greatest to put the kit on. A huge character with an even bigger heart, both on and off the pitch. Keats will be fondly remembered. We send our deepest sympathy to the Keating family 💙

In memory of Joanne McAlister, the Rozel players, coaches and committee members have made a contribution of £540 to Dementia Jersey, who provided support to Joanne and her family prior to her passing. Our thoughts are with TMcAl and the rest of Joanne’s family.
