The 2025 #CWprize will open on 1 September 2024. The Prize is awarded annually for the best unpublished short fiction from the Commonwealth. The winners receive between £2,500 - £5,000. Happy Malaysian Independence Day! In 1989 a young Mei Fong won the Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition and met Her Majesty the late Queen in Kuala Lumpur. Mei has since won The Pulitzer Prize and said winning the QCEC changed her life. royalcwsociety.org/qcec140
