New year, new manuscript! Our work on mapping transport between the nucleus and the cytoplasm is now on BioRxiv, and it's time to embark on a journey through the nuclear pore complex. Nuclear what? Bear with me! biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Check out this great work led by Barak Raveh, a first of its kind, integrative spatiotemporal map of the NPC explains the main molecular mechanisms underlying nuclear transport! A NCDIR @IntActOme special with our friends Andrej Sali lab, David Cowburn and Elizabeth Villa

Excited to share my final PostDoc work! Introducing MagIC-cryo-EM🪄 & DuSTER🧹, these methods reduce cryo-EM sample requirements (0.0005 mg/mL), enabling ALL biologists to explore the structural basis of diverse biological events! BioRxiv: biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Did you ever wondered how "jumping genes" actually jump? 2 papers now published in nature show the 3D structure of the enzyme responsible for human LINE-1 retrotransposon (links 👇). Congrats to the authors ! A Nature News & Views to recap the many new insights nature.com/articles/d4158…

In a great collaboration with Hummer Lab and the Kräusslich lab, Jan Philipp Kreysing, Maziar Heidari, Vojtech Zila and others tackle what happens when HIV capsid goes through an NPC. Instead of the NPC cracking the capsid, the capsid appears to crack the NPC (Max Planck Institute of Biophysics CIID_Heidelberg).
