I will never get over how centrists spent the months following the George Floyd protests scolding activists rather than promoting the urgent issue of police reform.

JK Rowling's online history really is one of the most frightening examples of radicalisation against a minority group that you will ever see. The continuing capacity of this moral panic to twist people into hate is terrifying. The impact on trans people is intolerable.

Thing is, Ms Rowling, what is being proposed about trans patients is absolutely an example of segregation. You object to this language because it shows exactly what you're about. There have been zero incidents of trans patients assaulting others; you're not 'safeguarding' anyone.

So much of this discourse really is 'It's not fair that people don't like me.'
