High-A and Single-A seasons end today. Plenty of prospects will be getting the bump to AA for an additional week of work. We’ve already seen Walker Jenkins and Sebastian Walcott get promoted, I’d expect more.

Hagen Smith, LHP, CHW Smith's 3rd pro start saw him strike out 2 in 2 IP with 6 whiffs and a 33% CSW. FB: 94-96 w/15 IVB from a 5'7" release height. 13 in of horizontal. Mixed a slider and cutter, with the SL having long sweeping action. CH: 90 with carry and 15 in of fade.

Nelly Taylor absolutely smoked this HR, 108 mph off the bat, 406 feet. There is a ton of juice here to go with a really good athlete.

Prior to Saturday, you would have needed to go back to July 2 to find the last time Yordanny Monegro allowed an earned run. In his final 44 IP to end the year, Monegro posted a 0.41 ERA with 54 strikeouts to 14 walks.

Casey Saucke was highly impressive this week, collecting 8 hits and smoking line drives to all fields. The 2024 4th rounder just turned 21 and had a strong pro debut after a very successful career at Virginia.

At the All Star Break Kumar Rocker was still rehabbing at the complex. Today he earned the call to the majors after just 29.2 full season innings this year. Things change quick and Rocker has looked like 1 of the best pitching prospects in baseball posting a 0.91 ERA w/47 K/4 BB

According to Stathead, Paul Skenes joined the legend José Fernández as the only rookie pitcher since 2000 to have 150 strikeouts and a sub 2.5 ERA. Fernández did it in 28 starts, and Skenes currently at 20 starts.
