DYK more on this week's building of interest: Munn's Bakery (1999 Second Ave - now Idgie's)! Maybe you remember stories from Rossland oldtimers or have memories of the businesses that have called it home over the past century, we would love to hear them! rosslandmuseum.ca/munns-bakery

Extra! Extra! Read all about it! It's another #WhatsItWednesday! This device measures only 7cm tall but would have been an important accessory for Rossland’s resident newsies. Can you cash in on your Rossland knowledge to figure out what it would have been used for?

This week’s #WhatsItWednesday artifact was a coin collector used to collect and hold change, specifically dimes, while delivering newspapers around Rossland through the 1930s and 1940s. #CollectionExploration #MuseumsEh

We’re trying to hit a home run with our #FascinatingFriday this week! We’re looking at the Rossland Royals! The Rossland Royals were Rossland’s senior women’s softball team that competed in the BC Amateur Softball Association and won the championship in 1969 and 1971!

Happy #MiningMonday! Today we're exploring the White Bear Mine. The White Bear Mine was the neighbour to the Black Bear Mine (our location), sitting directly to the west. The mine produced from 1903 until 1920, recovering 72,905 g gold, 229,104 g silver, and 142,064 kg copper.

We really don’t mean to string you along, but we need you help to solve this week’s #WhatsItWednesday mystery! Something like this would have made its home on a general store counter. Can you help us untangle this artifact’s true purpose? #MysteryObject #CollectionExploration

It's Father Pat's 164th Birthday! Henry Irwin, known as Father Pat, was an Anglican priest in Rossland from 1896 to 1902. Father Pat died in Feb. 1902 while on his way to England. Devastated by the loss, Rosslanders purchased a memorial ambulance and fountain in his memory.
