I think my favorite moments in football are when two teammates exchange 5-10 passes between just the two of them, looking at the other team, daring them to come press. Feels like a schoolyard game, just oozes arrogance and shithousery

What is so impressive about Man United when they’re clicking is the tempo that they play at, especially the front 4. Even when they’re a bit off technically (like Fernandes today) they are tough to play against for that reason

Ideal results: Chelsea lose (but that’s a given) United tie Leicester to both go to Champs league Villa stay up Wolves to Europa league

Love the setup of this FA Cup final. Both teams playing same shape and pressing high, with players often matched up man to man defensively. Comes down to who can play their way out, with better movement, quicker passing, one moment of beating your defender (or a mistake)

Two things I love in footy: 1. When the ‘underdog’ presses high 2. When the ‘underdog’ plays a back 3 Atalanta are doing both. Thoroughly enjoying this

Very disappointing to see Atalanta go out like that, but have to give quite a bit of credit to PSG. Never panicked, never gave up, kept pushing. Showed real experience

Love Simeone’s passion. But Atleti’s diving, pestering of the official, and Simeone’s asking for cards merits fines IMHO. Should be stamped out with action

Best formula for young player development: 75% playing, 25% watching Thiago. He has a relationship with the ball that all players should aspire to develop. Such a joy to watch

This news about the European Super League is beyond disappointing.. I'm disgusted at the greed shown by these clubs. This is not what football is about

Harry Kane is truly special. There’s players who just have a unique relationship with the ball, understand intuitively how to shape their foot and body to get the results they’re looking for. Kane today, with his goal and the pass for Son, is that player. Just a joy to watch.

Hate that red card in this WC playoff. Only looks bad because Costa Rican player’s ankle rolled, and the ref watches that over and over in slow motion. Just looked like like an average bad tackle in normal time. Shame because NZ have played so well
