Ten years ago, Connecticut was in permanent fiscal crisis. Today we have a budget surplus, a full Rainy Day Fund and are paying down record amounts of debt. We’ve got a lot of work left to do, but make no mistake: we’ve made real progress getting our fiscal house in order.

There’s never been a better time to invest in CT. In advance of this week’s $450 million bond sale, 2 credit rating agencies issued improved outlooks, a signal of the state’s growing economic strength and a validation of our continued fiscal discipline.
