Ten years ago, Connecticut was in permanent fiscal crisis. Today we have a budget surplus, a full Rainy Day Fund and are paying down record amounts of debt. Weā€™ve got a lot of work left to do, but make no mistake: weā€™ve made real progress getting our fiscal house in order.

ICYMI: Hamilton Park pool is open. This exciting news was made possible by #ARPA & $850K in Community Project Funding. I fought hard for this funding- these are the pools where I grew up & I understand the vital role these neighborhood spaces play in shaping lives.

I'm very disappointed with the comments made by a member of the CT General Assembly. Antisemitism in any form is totally unacceptable and does not belong in our government, community, or political process. A public apology to the people of CT is needed.

Paraeducators play a critical role in our classrooms yet are some of the lowest paid workers in our state. To help our school districts recruit and retain the paras they need to assist our kids, we are again providing subsidies to help over 6,000 paras afford health insurance.
