I’ve just had a bunch of military and ex-military guys tell me the speech Sec. Hegseth delivered was pitch perfect and exactly what they’ve been waiting to hear for years. It wasn’t PC or polite, and that appears to be the point. No more weak warriors. No more fat generals. 🫡

Teaching kids that all stress, sadness, & anxiety is a mental health crisis requiring therapy or medication is harmful. Those things are part of the normal human condition & often lead to necessary growth & development of moral character. We have to stop medicalizing everything.

This is the way. Adam is correct…again.🙂 Especially in the US, I feel teachers are made to believe they need to always be doing something new to keep lessons fun and engaging…that is unsustainable for the teacher and simply not good for learning.

Is there anything better than when a student tells you that your teaching method makes it really easy for them to learn? That’s honestly the best thing I can hear. 🥹 The hard truth though is that non-explicit methods of teaching make learning much harder than it has to be.

Coaches are among the last Truth Tellers left for kids today. Too many young people grow up hearing only what they want to hear, never what they need to hear. Honesty builds trust. Accountability builds character. Both build leaders.
