Animal cruelty requires stricter punishment - if there isn’t basic compassion and no sense of remorse for mindless violence ( against anybody) it’s a major cause for concern as a society. The Supreme Court can’t be one dimensional on this from a larger societal construct.

One of the best things of going to Himachal, Uttarakhand & upper mountains is to see the coexistence of man and dogs. Every village has a brave dog story. It’s sad that the Supreme Court had to rely on urban fear-mongering of our Indies for an unwanted suo moto
