No one should be in jail for smoking marijuana. No one should lose their job (or have a criminal record) for having smoked it. *AND* no one should ever be banned from athletic competition bc of it. End the stigma • Legalize it • Restore communities that have been damaged

This Axios piece "Liberals Sour on Bernie Sanders" is really just a thinly-veiled attempt to damage Nina Turner's campaign. One has to wonder--why are all these corp media outlets SO interested in Ohio's 11th district special election! axios.com/the-lefts-bern…

There is only one climate champion in the race to represent Ohio's 11th Congressional district -- Nina Turner. Our intersecting crises must be met with ambitious solutions. Nina Turner is the kind of progressive we need in Congress to get things done.

We knew this would be an uphill battle from the moment we started this campaign. While we didn’t cross the river, we inspired thousands to dream bigger and expect more. We couldn’t overcome the influence of dark money, but we left our mark on OH11 and this nation.

I've heard a lot from the punditry as to why Nina Turner lost her race in Ohio. Well, maybe it had something to do with drug companies, Wall Street and the fossil fuel industry spending millions trying to defeat her. Is that the kind of Democratic Party we want? I don't think so.

What has Bernie accomplished since becoming Budget Committee Chair 8 months ago? ✅Passed $1.9T budget to reduce child poverty by 61% ✅Passed reconciliation bill to implement Rescue Plan ✅Passed $3.5T budget to benefit the 99%, not the 1% Three down, one to go. #NotMeUs

Facing sentencing, I just saw this video of decades of Chevron's toxic dumping in Ecuador — with Amazon rivers literally on fire from the company's oil sludge. Chevron's crimes deserve harsh punishment. So why am I the one facing prison after 2 years of detention? Sickening.

So much death. So much suffering. A pain that will echo across generations. And so much of it preventable. Sometimes I catch myself in a moment of reflection completely unable to fully wrap my head around what continues to transpire.

Before the pandemic, there was 1 person worth $100 billion. Now there are 10. Before the pandemic, those 10 people were worth $650 billion. Now they are worth $1.4 trillion. And the Senate is ready to shut down the government and deny vital services to avoid taxing them at all.

How can anyone say they are "patriotic" and "love their country" when they refuse to act against the drought, flooding, forest fires and extreme weather disturbances which cause our nation so much destruction. Climate change is real. The U.S. must lead the way in combating it.

Losing the family farm, rationing insulin, drinking poisoned water, risking our lives on crumbling infrastructure, forfeiting pensions—none of this was part of the deal. Kentuckians deserve so much better. We deserve a Kentucky New Deal.
