Great Art work from the Summer Holiday Club children 🎨

Y4 were investigating how sounds are made in science this afternoon 👂

We got active today in Year 4 with some impressive gymnastic skills, some children challenging and even surprising themselves with their abilities, one child climbing to the top of the ropes for the first time ever!

In Year 4, we've been exploring how to create light and shade using pencil techniques. As you can see, their artworks turned out beautifully and they’re so proud of what they've achieved! 🎨 #Year4Art #PencilShading #CreativeKids

Year 4 were investigating different aspects of their sound topic today. They had fun making and testing their string telephones.

Year 6 had a brilliant lesson pretending they worked at a French café in preparation for some creative writing.

We've been super busy in Year 1 learning about the importance of being kind and fair.  We even had time to learn about technology too!  What a busy day! 😁

The Y4s designed their own investigations today in science: does the length of the string affect the volume in the cup?; does the size of shape of the cup have an impact?; what about the thickness of the string?

In Religion and Worldviews, Year 2 have been finding out why people might say thank you. They have also been learning all about different questions and why some questions are called 'Big Questions' and why these are difficult to answer.

Year 1 really enjoyed learning about what some Jewish and Christian people think about creation. They acted out the story of creation with props. 😁

Year 4s have been learning about how important a strong core is in gymnastics, especially for balancing in a pose. Here they are experimenting with some of their favourite partner balances 👏

Y6 had fun today in science, investigating shadows and creating shadow art.

Y4 had great fun this afternoon learning about the history of pyramids and making different models.

The Y4s are having a great time learning about Ancient Egyptians at the Macclesfield museum.

Year 1 are loving our Andy Warhol Pop Art unit! Today they have been learning how to use watercolour paints to create a pop art style pattern.  Great job Year 1!
