The Surlingham Tag Rugby team did brilliantly in the Tag Rugby final at Diss High School. We came 7th out of 14 teams. Well done.

Years 3 and 4 from both schools joined together with Seething and Mundham school to give an exceptional performance, singing with “perfect pitch,” on St Andrew’s Hall stage, in the Norfolk County Music Festival. Congratulations!

You may have just heard that all schools will close on Friday but will be open for children of key workers or are vulnerable. We just received this news too so will not be able to answer your questions yet. We hope to have more detail tomorrow. Thank you for your support.

Children in Reception and Year 1 have been busy learning in their new school environment. We are blessed with beautiful grounds and such sunny weather as we learn how to socially distance in our ‘new normal.’

Norfolk Constabulary need our help. Please see the attached poster for a great way to get creative and in return have some sunflower seeds sent to our school.

Children in Maple bubble have been exploring the natural world and making observations of our plants! Look at this beautiful French Lavender attracting lots of busy bees!

Maple bubble have been ‘doing the 2 times table bop’ as they practice their number skills with movement and dance!

We have been learning about Toys from long ago and played the Hoop and Stick game for ourselves! This was great fun and we made races against each other and the teachers! We measured in metres and footsteps the distance travelled by our hoops!

Starting our topic about Blues Music, we experimented with how to hold a conversation and express ourselves by drumming pots and pans!

Reception have been exploring volume and capacity using different sized containers and coloured water.

We have been learning about parts of a plant. Mrs Bell lead an interesting session where we investigated Tomato plants. We were fascinated by their roots and can’t wait for the tomatoes!

Maple bubble were fascinated to explore sunsets over the sea as part of their Talk for Writing hook! Enjoying the sunshine today, they painted their own interpretations! Look at their wonderful creations!

We have been making the most of the glorious sunshine this week and following our curiosity about shadows! We asked lots of questions and enjoyed discovering the answers!

What an exciting day! The preparations have begun for our new 2 years + Nursery provision at Rockland in September! Watch this space for further updates!

We have played Maths detectives this week! Using skills such as number facts, measurement of area, and fractions to solve clues, we were thrilled to discover Terry Tuna was the thief who stole the missing towel!
