Today's pitching matchup: North Laurel eighth-grader Emma Carl (17-5, 2.85 ERA) vs. Assumption sophomore Ava Lou Mattingly (19-6, 4.71 ERA)

Assumption got an infield single by Maleya Giddens to lead off the bottom of the first inning but nothing else. It's 3-0 North Laurel as we head to the second.

North Laurel gets runners to second and third with one out, but Assumption pitcher Lauren Satterly gets back-to-back strikeouts to end the threat. North Laurel up 4-0 in the bottom of the third.
