The Fulbright Community Garden is being built today. We are so excited. Thank you Foundation for SPS for this great opportunity to build community and grow vegetables!

Dirt delivery day! Can’t wait to see how our garden grows at Fulbright EC. Thank you Foundation for SPS

Today we are getting our inside seeds planted. Fulbright kids are labeling, counting, and learning about seeds. Thank you Foundation for SPS

This afternoon we worked to put the soil in our garden beds. We love spending time with our families after school. We are excited to plant our veggies after Spring Break! Foundation for SPS

Today was planting day in the Fulbright Community Garden. We had lots of fun digging, watering, and saying kind things to our plants. My favorite... You were a baby but now you’re all grown up and ready for your own dirt. ❤️ Thanks Foundation for SPS

Today’s hypothesis: If babies like to play peekaboo then I think baby plants will like it too! We love our garden Foundation for SPS

The Fulbright Garden got books and a tuck in this afternoon. Fingers crossed the nasty weather headed our way doesn’t zap our babies. Foundation for SPS Wonder Years Preschool (SPS)

Nothing cuter than Fulbright kids singing the rest time song to their tucked in plants. ❤️ Foundation for SPS Wonder Years Preschool (SPS)

Today we harvested some kale from our Fulbright Community Garden and used it to make smoothies. Not only did the kids LoVE the smoothies, they also requested extra kale on the side! Growing vegetables grows vegetable lovers! Foundation for SPS Wonder Years Preschool (SPS)

Salad Party!! 🎉 Today we harvested lettuce and spinach to make salads for snack time at Fulbright. They asked to add kale to the salad too - can’t say no to that! Quote of the day, “This salad is legit!” Thanks for the “legit” garden Foundation for SPS and Wonder Years Preschool (SPS).

#GiveBACK Day is ONE week away! Your support could help fund projects like robyn hagerman Garden Dreams at Adah Fulbright, Brad Brummel Active Classrooms across SPS, STEAM classroom materials for early childhood & much more! Visit supportsps.org/backtoschool/ on Sept. 9 to support!

Question: What’s more fun than wandering around in the woods with 17 four and five year olds? Answer: Nothing! We touched moss, threw rocks in a stream, and gathered countless treasures for our art projects this week. Wonder Years Preschool (SPS)

Today we learned how to harvest and wash lettuce, kale and spinach leaves. Tomorrow those leaves will be served at Dr. Lathan’s lunch meeting. We are so honored that our garden is producing their food! Thank you Foundation for SPS and Wonder Years Preschool (SPS)!
