It should be much bigger news that Dartmouth’s Chair of Jewish Studies has been banned from campus for trying to defend her students.

Many of these protesters are Jewish.

Many of these faculty members are Jewish.

Calling these protesters antisemitic is putting them in danger.

There was no reason for University of New Hampshire to respond this way to the encampment. We teach our students that violence should never be their first response to disagreement, yet this is the university’s first response. What an education 🥴

Yesterday Cornell University suspended four students for their participation in the protest encampment on the arts quad. Why these four? Because they were the negotiating team and they were the names the admin knew. Two are international students who are now without visas. /1
