Yesterday was my last day of regular session in the MO House. A lot has happened these 6 years. Made lots of friends. Made lots of policy arguments. I’ve accomplished quite a bit for a Dem in the super minority, but the works not done. Onward and upward.

I’m grateful that fmr President Trump is safe, and that the Secret Service took out the threat before an even more horrific outcome could take place. My thoughts are also with the innocent bystanders who were killed or injured. Political violence has no place in America.

Nothing can bring back a life lost, and we are holding Officer Carson’s family & colleagues in our prayers. I filed Valentine’s Law to go after anyone who puts police officers’ lives in danger by fleeing arrest. I’m glad it passed so this person can be held accountable.

9/11/01 was a day that would forever change me. I knew I wanted to serve, but that sparked something inside me. Today, we remember the lost lives of the heroic first responders who rushed in to save those they could. We will never forget.
