Currently in #rhodes was staying at #mayia resort and there was no evacuation, we just suddenly got told to run. Walked for hours along the beach and hitchhiked to another hotel. Can still see the fires and getting zero information. Luckily met lots of very kind local people.

Still on #rhodes on the south side at a hotel after getting on a bus. Slept on sun beds outside with hundreds of other people, woke up to see the fire on the horizon and ash falling on us. Hotel is looking after us but no idea how we are leaving the island yet.

Managed to get a flight out of #rhodes to France. Exhausted after an intense few days and relieved to be safely out. Thoughts with the locals who have lost homes/businesses. Thanks for the help, info and best wishes people sent. Much appreciated x
