Framing an entire election campaign around the theory (hope?) that everyone hates Dan as much as you hate Dan was always a Hail Mary strategy. It’s hard to hear the community clearly when you spend all your time in an echo chamber

Tomorrow, the 2nd of December, it will be 50 years since Gough Whitlam and Labor won that historic 1972 federal election that ended 23 years of coalition government and laid the foundations for modern Australia.

Could not go to a better, or more deserving person. The highest honor I could think of on this is that Ray would be flat out chuffed that Jacob got this award in his name.

This is a frightening visual for me. The first dot is the amount of data Chat GPT 3 was trained on. The second is what chat GPT 4 is trained on. They are already doing demos. It can write a 60,000 word book from a single prompt. The only question I've had about AI…

True colours come shining through. Ashamed to be Australian. No recognition. No voice. No way forward. Nobody wins. Status Quo. She’ll be right mate.. Disgraceful Australia. #Referendum2023

Fascinating to see the varied coverage of Kissingers death, from lionization to lambasting - but without question the man created more collective misery in Latin America and South Asia than just about anyone has over the last 60 years. No tears here for a war criminal.

Turns out all the column inches on how Cummins and the Australian team are “woke” and would perform badly as a result… may not have been true?!SHOCKING. Another 5fer for Pat today after arguably the best cricketing year Australia has ever had? Terrible journalism from some.

A newspaper editor — Chris Quinn of the Cleveland Plain Dealer — says it as clearly as he can: "Our Trump reporting upsets some readers, but there aren’t two sides to facts." cleveland.com/news/2024/03/o… Quinn writes of a different kind of access. Access to our own eyes and ears:

Extremely important to have this point made explicitly by Justice Lee : "The notion a woman is expected to either fight or flight to be accepted as having been a victim of sexual assault is not only not reasonably open but wrongheaded.” #Lehrmann

I said this a little while ago, but the supposed “wokeness” of the Australian Cricket team intimating we won’t play well is even more at odds given we have every available trophy in cricket and are in the finals of the WTC. Shocking journalism - Maurice Newman should apologise.
