Great to get back to Blackmoor Golf Club today for the annual @golfmonthly Help for Heroes day - the new LOBB + PARTNERS bunkering looking very impressive on an uncharacteristically overcast day !

Very much enjoyed "researching" this one a couple of months ago - and looking forward to returning soon !

There are benefits to teeing off at 7:48... today it was the amazing sky at Tandridge, where the greens are already back to excellent following Summer maintenance week

Great to be back at Royal Cinque Ports Golf Club today for the first time in 5 years, albeit in a 4 club wind in the 'wrong' direction... the course is number 43 in the @golfmonthly Top 100 and looked very impressive indeed in all departments !

Just the 330 mile drive today to join Jezz Ellwood at Eden Golf Club, so running on empty but still enjoyed it very much - a very good facility both on and off the course - and course 994 in the UK&I for me

Also yesterday, returned with Jezz Ellwood to play the attractive 9-hole Hadrian’s course at Eden - UK&I course number 995 - I will enjoy writing about the club for Golf Monthly

Location, location, location… course number 996 in the UK&I this morning and the rural idyll that is Kirkby Lonsdale GC in Cumbria - played very long from the whites and more than worth seeking out !

Wednesday's outings in Cumbria with Rob Smith for Golf Monthly brought no sunshine but many interesting holes including the 4th on the Hadrian's course Eden Golf Club (first pic) and extraordinary 15th Appleby Golf Club (last pic) - yes, thst really is the view from the tee 😃
