Breaking: #nffc striker Taiwo Awoniyi taken to hospital this evening, and is due to undergo urgent abdominal surgery, I’m told. Complications discovered today by club medical staff, who took him straight to hospital. Awoniyi tried to play on, but was in obvious pain v #lcfc.

Awoniyi ruptured his intestine when he collided with the post against #lcfc on Sunday, I’m told, and his situation worsened in the next 24hrs which led to emergency surgery last night. The #nffc striker remains under observation in hospital.

Farewell to #lcfc Greatest of All Time.

For all those #lcfc fans, and others, wondering what today’s announcement means - in simple terms, after years of dispute, Leicester are in the clear for PSR for season 22/23 when they were in the Championship, but face THREE new charges for alleged PSR breaches for season 23/24.

The PL and EFL have tightened and aligned their PSR rules in recent times, to close the loophole of jurisdiction when a club is promoted or relegated. That’s why the PL have now charged #lcfc for alleged PSR breaches for season 23/24 when Leicester were in the Championship.

It means #lcfc will start next season in the Championship with a PSR charge and possible points deduction hanging over them. Both sides accept there is no issue of jurisdiction now, and so Leicester are engaging in discussions with the PL and EFL.
