Fab meeting this morning with the gorge Rob Burton to talk all things concerto and Britten Sinfonia. Watch this space… 👀 Now to hide under a rock for the rest of the day.

When we commissioned Nathan James Dearden to write a piece for Rob Burton, we didn't realise Rob was also a fantastic portrait painter, discovered by Sky Arts Awards 🎨 Ahead of the music's premiere on Saturday, he's drawn Nathan's portrait in a brilliant artistic exchange 🎷
🎨 This is pretty special, and still amazed that Rob Burton took the time to paint/sketch this mug! Big love to Britten Sinfonia and the #MagnumOpus team.
Still beaming from yesterday’s Britten Sinfonia 30th birthday #MagnumOpus concert at Barbican Centre. Working with these staggeringly wonderful players, Rob Burton, and William Cole has been dreamy. Million thanks for everyone who came to support us - tears have been shed 🙏
Really looking forward to performing Martin Butler’s Saxophone Concerto alongside Glazunov concerto with Cheltenham Chamber Orchestra tomorrow! Conducted by the wonderful Toby Purser (Head of Conducting at Royal College of Music ) Tickets can be purchased on Cheltenham Town Hall website :) come!
Future Talent musicians shone brightly at a Gala Concert at St James’s Palace with The Duke and Duchess of Kent to celebrate our charity. To thank the Duchess of Kent, who founded our charity, a beautiful portrait of her by alumnus Rob Burton was unveiled by Lady Helen Taylor.
A clip from Future Talent’s Short Film about my painting of HRH The Duchess of Kent celebrating her 90th birthday, her involvement in Future Talent (a charity she co-founded to support young musicians) and the concert at St James’s Palace. (+ a cameo from Alexander Armstrong)
Really enjoyed performing Creston’s Saxophone Concerto yesterday with the lovely Kingston Chamber Orchestra !
Wow, our alumni Rob Burton features on this amazing list! Congratulations 🎷
