Osmanthus x burkwoodii, Roath Brook Gardens Wales Champion Tree 2013 A beauty Natural Resources Wales planned felling, rather than change a flood scheme's new path. Thanks to Roath Brook she still stands & the scheme's Phase 3 is being reviewed as standalone #wildcardiffhour pic.x.com/vmBSPHM6dg
Fantastic news! Well done Roath Brook Shame we have to fight for these things! team NotLeafy #wildcardiffhour
This lovely little tree in Waterloo Gardens needs your help please Cardiff Council #quickquery It's only young & doing so well until its support stake disappeared, we found it like this today (main path nr Warden's Hut, see pic). Its trunk is still intact, you can save it🙏
Gave us & the little tree hope on Friday when you kindly passed this to the Parks team & said a new support was going in that day. But Monday morning & it's still as it was, no support😔 Please help it! Cardiff Council #quickquery (main path, next to stream, nr. Warden's hut).
Today's a good day, the little tree's new support is in! Thank you Cardiff Council #quickquery & Parks teams for listening, doing & supporting us in caring for our urban trees & green spaces. Thanks too from the little tree to everyone here who supported its plea for help.
Our stalwart supporters who helped save our trees some 7 years ago would recognise Nether Edge (Sheffield) as being so like Penylan (Cardiff) - we do love our urban trees! 🌳🌳🌳Do listen to this…it was on BBC Radio 4 earlier this evening. bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m0…
mermaidontheloose Yes. And that's the only rational explanation at the moment.
richard bacon Quite - and honestly I'm still upset that BBC Newsnight platformed him knowing his views
What a great idea! Cardiff next, Huw Thomas ? bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…
