Ok the Moose Jaw Warriors get a pass on the late draft post, you know WHL final and all…but Rivs AP players Karter Hilbig and Nash Coquet were both selected by MJ in the draft today, well done fellas!

With many of the SJHL and AAA spring camps wrapping up we are close to the last dance of the Rivs 2023-24 season. The Riverkings wanted to thank Saskatoon Minor Hockey for inviting us to be part of the 50th annual celebration. Short a few bodies due to camps, but a super good time!

Hey we know this guy! Happy birthday Shewy, Troy does everything in beast mode…maybe diall that back when it comes to driving! 😂

The Riverkings had their windup dinner earlier in May. The coaching staff handed out awards on the season for MVP (goalie Reid Wassermann) top forward (Charlie Kay) top defense (Koen Giasson) most improved (Wyatt Jordan) and unsung hero (Ryder Wilm). Congrats to the winners!

It’s a big day for the Riverkings development program and our players! We will be excited to watch the draft and see what happens. Only one Riv not available (Kolibab) as he was selected by Estevan Bruins in the ‘08 draft last year. Good luck boys!!

Holy cow, that’s quite a draft for the Riverkings! Thanks to the SJHL for putting together a great draft day program. For those selected or not selected, draft day is never a dam in the river, just a rock. Back to work!
