Amendments to the RoCP and court forms come into force on January 1, 2022. The amended forms, now available on the Ontario Court Forms website, have a simplified format and helpful instructions. Old forms will not be accepted after January 1, 2022, unless the court orders.

The civil trial system in Ontario is broken. The problem of not getting trial dates for at least 2 years after a pre-trial conference long predated COVID. Ensuring that this trial remain on the January 2022 blitz list in 2022 is a good outcome, but the broader problem remains.
