Coming and going The RRFD welcomes home Lt. Jordan Kesel from his deployment overseas with the USAF. Lt. Kesel spent a little under a year away from us and we are happy to have him back.

We would also like to wish Firefighter Broghan Enright well on his deployment out of country with the US Army. Broghan leaves today and is expected to be gone most of the year.

Great submissions from people in our community who made sure their fire hydrants were cleaned out after the snowfall yesterday. Fire doubles in size every 30 seconds. Taking several minutes locating & clearing a hydrant during a fire puts everyone at risk. Thanks again!

Tonight we responded w/ Ridge Road Fire Dist to a home on Lee Rd for the report of a living room on fire. Units arrived within 3 mins to extinguish the fire in the living room. Minor damage to the home & no injuries. Occupants are expected to reoccupy the home. #GatesFD #GatesNY
